Our journey together is so short

A young lady sat in a bus. At the next stop a loud and grumpy old lady came and sat next to her. She squeezed into the seat and bumped her with her numerous bags.

The person sitting on the other side of the young lady got upset, asking her why she did not speak up and say something.

The young lady responded with a smile, "It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant; the journey together is so short. Anyway, I'll get off at the next stop."

This response deserves to be written in golden letters:

*"It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short."*

If each one of us realised that our time here is so short, why darken it with quarrels, fights, futile arguments, not forgiving one another, discontentment and a
fault finding attitude; all these are a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart? *Be calm, the journey together is so short!*

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? *Be calm, forgive, the journey together is so short!*

Whatever trouble or distress anyone brings us, let us remember that *our journey together is so short.*

No one knows the duration of this journey. No one knows when their stop will be. *Our journey together is so short.*

Let us cherish friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to one another. Let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.

If I have ever hurt you, I ask for your forgiveness. If you have ever hurt me, you already have my forgiveness.

After all, *Our journey together is so short!*

THE MESSAGE ABOVE IS WORTH READING OVER AND OVER  AGAIN UNTIL IT COMES ALIVE IN US.

Thought of the day...

Someone asked the richest man in the world, Bill Gates, " Is there anyone richer than you in the world ?"

Bill Gates replied, " Yes, there is a person who is richer than me."

He then narrated a story.

"It's during the time when I wasn't rich or famous.

I was at the New York Airport when I saw a newspaper vendor.

I wanted to buy one newspaper but found that I don't have enough of change. So I left the idea of buying and returned it to the vendor.

I told him of not having the change. The vendor said, " I am giving you this for free." On his insistence I took the newspaper.

Coincidentally, after 2–3months, I landed at the same airport and again I was in short of change for a newspaper. The vendor offered me the newspaper again. I refused and said that I can't take it for I don't have a change today too. He said, " You can take it, I am sharing this from my profit, I won't be at loss." I took the newspaper.

After 19 years I became famous and known by people. Suddenly I remembered that vendor. I began searching for him and after about 1½ month of searching I found him.

I asked him, " Do you know me?" He said, " Yes, you are Bill Gates."

I asked him again, " Do you remember once you gave me newspaper for free?"

The vendor said, " Yes, I remember. I gave you twice."

I said, " I want to repay the help you had offered me that time. Whatever you want in your life, tell me, I shall fulfill it."

The vendor said, " Sir, don't you think that by doing so you won't be able to match my help?"

I asked, " Why?"

He said, " I had helped you when I was a poor newspaper vendor and you are trying to help me now, when you have become the richest man in the world. How can your help match mine ?"

That day I realised that the newspaper vendor is richer than me because he didn't wait to become rich to help someone."

People need to understand that the truly rich are those who possess a rich heart rather than lots of money.

Its really very important to have a rich heart to help others. 🙏🏼

Beer

A man woke up in the morning deeply repentant  after a bitter fight with his wife the previous night.
He noticed with dismay the crate of beer bottles that had caused the fight.
He took it outside and started smashing  the empty bottles one by one onto the wall.

He smashed the first bottle swearing, "you are the reason I fight with  my wife".
He smashed the second bottle, "you are the reason I don't love my children".
He smashed the third bottle, "you are the reason I don't have a decent job".

When he took the fourth bottle, he realised that the bottle was still sealed and was full.

He hesitated for a moment and said "you stand aside, I know you were not involved".

Ego

*A Crow and Garuda* 🙏
*- "Just Drop"..*

Once a Crow, holding on to a piece of meat was flying to a place to sit & eat.

However, a flock of Eagles were chasing it. The crow was anxious and was flying higher and higher, yet eagles were after the poor crow.

Just then "Garuda" saw the plight and  pain in the eyes of the crow. Coming closer to the crow, he asked:

"What's wrong? You seem to be very "disturbed" and in  "stress"?"..

The crow cried "Look at these eagles!! They are after me to kill me".

Garuda being the bird of wisdom spoke "Oh my friend!! They are not after you to kill you!! They are after that piece of meat that you are holding in your beak". Just drop it and see what will happen.

The crow followed the instructions of Garuda and dropped the piece of meat, and there you go, all the eagles flew towards the falling meat.

Garuda smiled and said "The Pain is only till you hold on to it" Just Drop" it.

The crow just bowed and said "I dropped this piece of meat, now, I can fly even higher.."

There is a message for us from this story too:

1. People carry  the huge burden called "Ego," which creates a false identity about us, that we create for ourselves saying "I need love, I need to be invited, I am so and so.. "etc..." Just Drop ....

2. People get irritated fast by "others actions" it can be my friend, My parent, My children, My colleague, My life partner... and I get the fumes of "anger "..."Just Drop....

3. People compare themselves with others.. in beauty, wealth, life style, marks, talent and appraisals and feel disturbed... We must be grateful with what we have ... comparisons, negative emotions .." Just Drop...

Just drop the burden

It is this logic
From dust to dust

*That is why in Hindu temples ash vibuthi is given to constantly remind we are nothing but dust.*
